Michele Mariotti conducts the Orchestra and Chorus of Teat;ro Regio Torino (Chorus Master Andrea Secchi). Richard Lawrence says, at page 92 of the 2019 February Gramophone, that this early Verdi opera has a preposterous plot that has kept it from receiving much attention. He goes on to dismiss this recording as lackluster.
