Mark Mardel, writing in the May 2019 Opera News at pages 55-56 has trouble with the staging. But he is generally well-impressed by the conducting and the singing and gives this a Critic’s Choice award. Below is a YT clip giving you some idea about the wild designs. (There were 4 different casts, so we don't know for sure if the singers shown here are the same as on the Blu-ray disc. But the clip illustrates what was bothering Mardel. You might want to do further research before springing for this as there are a number of other choices in Blu-ray.
