There probably aren’t too many critics out there who keep up with Swedish opera. So Patrick Dillon, writing in the October 2014 Opera News (pages 60-61), was pleasantly surprised by this Swedish Luisa Miller. Dillon lavishes praise on every aspect of the production stating that Stefano Vizioli “delivers Verdi’s opera pure and simple and lets us enjoy it as its clear, cogent self.”
