Juan Diego Florez is famous for his success with the tenor role in this opera, which has some of Rossini's most difficult coloratura music. This comes to us from the same festival that brought us the well-regarded Mosè in Egitto and Zelmira Rossini titles, and it has been a good seller. Opera expert Patrick Dillon is unstinting in praising every aspect of this disc in a review on pages 66-67 of the May 2014 Opera News. So if you have any special interest in bel canto or Rossini, this would appear to be something you have to get.
