Hugo Shirley, writing in the December 2017 Gramophone (pages 113-114) says the cast here is "eminently likeable" and approves the show as "a touching and recommendable modern-dress Bohème." Shirley does complain that Tiziano Mancini's video is "occasionally oveactive" in zooming in for close-ups of director touches that are obvious enough to the audience without any help.
