Laurence Equilbey is a female conductor (Chevalier of the French Legion of Merit) and founder of Insula (a period-instrument orchestra) and accentus (a choral group not to be confused with the Accentus recording company that has produced many HDVDs). Equilbey is a newcomer to our market, but we have seen a good bit of Carlus Padrissa and La Fura dels Baus over the years.
